Christmas at Waiheke - Part 3

Well here is our last update on our Christmas 2015 holiday....

  • Next key highlight, watching Nate master the art of taking selfies with Mummy, while showing off where his eyes, ears, tummy, bottom, arms, legs, knees, tummy, toes, shoulders etc etc are! While he can't say any of those words, he knows exactly what we mean when we do :-)
  • Chilling after a swim.....
  • Doing some chores with Daddy....
  • Playing houses with Daddy and all my Teddies.....lots of squeals with this game!
Stuffing teddys through the window
Everybody breathe in, I want to shut the door!
Just about got everyone in there....
Seems friendly enough?!
What's he doing?!
Ahhhh.....he's got me!!
Finally got Daddy locked away in there!

Well those three update blogs pretty much sum our short holiday up. It has been an absolute luxury to hang out with our little man 24/7, and to experience all the fun and cuteness of having such an awesome little man in our lives. He totally rocks, and we can't imagine our lives without him :-). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas at Waiheke - Part 2

And the holiday blog continues....more highlights and photos of our week away of fun.

  • Nate is showing his mastery with his shapes, he really has the 'posting' sorted. And now we're working on understanding the matching of the words (triangle, square etc) to the shape, although not yet on the verbalising part :-)
  • The girls coming to visit on the 27th Dec for a day/night to everyone's, but especially Nate's great excitement! We enjoyed a day lazing around, some yummy ice creams, and the fun of iPad monopoly with Ruby :-)
Nate & Ruby building!
So. Much. Fun!
  • Robin's cousin Will and family Renata, Jessie, and Charlie (who were on holiday from Sydney), and visited us all on the 31st December, where we enjoyed a lovely leisurely lunch at Mudbrick, followed by a yummy beef dinner on Dad's weber. Great day and a lovely family.
  • And regular visits to Little Oneroa park and beach with Nate, as well as a trike ride along Onetangi beach. Nate waivers between being far too adventurous with the waves, to (after a bit of a dunking) to being quite timid - we need to find that perfect balance of respect for the waves and fun!

  • Another highlight was watching Nate with his 'tornado' bubble machine in action, so many bubbles, so little time! He was a real joy to watch here, lots of squealing and 'more, more, more' whenever we turned it off!

And to finish this blog, our gorgeous 2y9m little man enjoying the best of summer...
