LOLA - First few weeks of FIRSTS!

Lola's first few weeks at home was full of some very special firsts........here are just some of them....

First bath with my Daddy.....

First few weeks of growth monitoring with our AIC Midwife, Mary....stellar results :-). Soon to be transferred to Plunket....

Nate's first PlayBall experience in the Tui Room

Here is the latest news update around Nate from his daycare. At present he is transitioning to a new room with bigger kids, and we hope this will help both his speech (more expressive older kids in the new room), and also his social engagement with other kids which is currently pretty limited. We hope that the order kids, who are more socially aware, will encourage him further in this regard. We have also requested some support from MOE in the form of a play therapist, to help him engage with other kids. Hopefully we get allocated a couple of hours a week for thus.

The below extract and pictures are from Laura, and are about Nate joining the bigger kids for an hour as part of his transition, and engaging in some planned ball sports - right up Nate's alley! As you can see, he absolutely loved it! :-)

 

Nate had his first Playball experience today with the Tui children and he was AMAZING! He participated in all the games and had so much fun! He was very confident in getting up and having a turn and was awesome at listening to the instructions from the coaches! We can't wait for next week to see all of the other fun things he will join in with!

He also greatly enjoyed Singing Rainbows again this week....here is a shot of him animated throughout the class :-)
